H ey! I am a 21 year old graduate of Game Programming from Humber College. I’ve had a love for games since my first exposure to the Nintendo Entertainment System at the age of six. I remember my father had borrowed the system from a friend, because we could not afford our own. So, when it was at our house I would play non-stop because I knew it would go back soon. I remember struggling to play Mario Bros., trying desperately to get to the next level. Some family members said that I spend too much time playing games and that I needed to focus on my future; who knew the two were intertwined. As years went on, I obtained better systems and played more games. From the boy who could not beat simple games, I became a ‘gamer’. I started to admire games for their maturity; they were not just for kids anymore. The story, the music, the intimacy has given these virtual worlds a level of elegance that is comparable to Hollywood movies; the art of gaming was revealed to me. Today I strive to become a well established game developer. With the same passion, I now look at games from a more analytical point of view. I observe and try to anticipate how the developers make the games. I view simple key commands as functions, a projectile as a mathematical calculation, etc. This is the kind of mindset I would like to bring to the industry. Aside from gaming, I have a general interest in anything that depicts creativity, be it artwork, music, or even creative writing. On my spare time, I learn various musical instruments, such as the piano, and the harmonium, as well as classical vocal training. I enjoy trying new things, and try to hold a standard in even my social life.
